Each of these guided meditations relaxes your body and clears your mind. . . then guides you to create intense images and visions that can produce memorable, stimulating dreams. Use them at night in bed, if possible, as you are going to sleep. I’ve been using them for the last couple of months… primarily because I recorded them years ago— and I wanted to be sure they still worked.
I’ve been suffering from a tricky, recurring bronchitis… definitely a messy business, so I started with the healing incubator— and had no memorable dream at all! But when I did my morning meditation a series of images appeared, dramatically shifting my idea of the bronchitis.
First I found a huge, lava-like boulder in the center of my chest. As I meditated it turned into a smooth black egg-shape, and finally,(the next day) it was a translucent soft egg shape. I was inside and I felt I wasn’t quite ready to come out, but I would be soon. Every day since the bronchitis is better.
Recently I’ve been using the dream guidance meditation, (in which you ask a question of your future self). I’ve been asking about increasing my vitality. . . and had complex, powerful dreams. . . but even better, I wake up in the morning feeling good. Really good. Not just okay, but expanded in some profound way. At ease. Deeply comfortable. Waking up in the morning not always my favorite thing, so this is a dramatic change for me.
A note on Dreamsex and Dreamlover. . . there’s more information about the value and importance of dream sex and dream lovers in my book, The Last of the Dream People, available from Amazon or Barnes & Noble, and in the near future, directly from me here.
To understand dreams generated by these meditations you need my classic book, Understand Your Dreams, (can’t believe you don’t have it already if you’re reading this blog)— which will be available on all forms of electronic books soon. I’m also collecting terms/images for an expanded App of UYD, and I would be very pleased if you would send me images you’d like to see included via my blog contact form.
You can order two dream incubators by registering for the blog. . . or by contacting me at email@example.com, or by connecting with me on facebook and requesting them. If you use fb be sure to give me your email address, as you will receive the incubators via email.
List of Dream Incubators:
Here’s a list of the Incubators. . . with some personal asides based on my recent experience of them.
Dream Clearing— great. . . it will bring up what is ready to go. . . which means all the garbage and junk— stored up and blocking both your dream life and your waking life. (7.33 mins.)
Dream Recall— delicious, one of my all-time favorites, stimulates intense dream images and better recall of all dreams. (8:39 mins.)
Dream Guidance— the one I described earlier, in which your future self (who is determined to help you get TO the future), responds to a request for help with whatever issue you present. (8:41 mins.)
Dream Healing—leads you to Epidauros, the healing center of the ancient world, to receive dreams that stimulate healing on inner and outer levels. Epidauros, on the Peloponnesus of Greece, was considered the navel of the world by the ancients. (8:48 mins.)
Dream Exploration— takes you into dream adventures where you explore other realms of consciousness while your body safely and comfortably sleeps. (10:55 mins.)
The Black Velvet Room— heaven for anyone in sensory overload. . . often leads to sensuous pleasure and deep, refreshing sleep— an antidote to a stressful life. (9:56 mins.)
Dreamsex— explore your own sexuality in the privacy and safety of the dream state. Opening the dream door to sexual fulfillment can also lead to greater vitality in your waking life. (last time we used this one my husband Henry dreamed about me!) (18:37 mins.)
The Corridor of Dreams— encourages dreams offering information about future projects and plans, including barriers to their success. (20:22 mins.)
Dreamlover— leads to a meeting in the dream state with an ideal lover, an aspect of self ready for integration, or to actual future lovers. (18:38 mins.)
The Dark Vessel— uses classic imagery of crossing an expanse of dark water to find the light. Very powerful. Valuable for the terminally ill, for those who want to contact dead friends and relatives, or who want to explore the after-death state. I also use it when I am confronting personal fears.
